3 Arsenal U09 boys select team were finalists in the Washington Gateway Classic this weekend, finishing in second place with a 3-1 record. It was a fantastic finish to their U09 year! After opening with wins against Soccerdome Gold and a pair of Alliance FC teams, they lost the championship game, 5-2, to a very tough Severna Park United team. Our boys were actually up 2-1 at half, but simply ran out of steam in the second half with only one substitute. This is their second runner-up finish in a row and Coach Roper is incredibly proud of the entire team!
