Another successful season for the Comets!

The Comets had a great Fall campaign with an overall record of 13-3-3.  The girls won the Heat Cup in August and had a fantastic 2-1 WAGS season victory at Montgomery Soccer Club.  Also, a special thanks to the U12 BBSL girls for working out with the Comets throughout the season; a great win-win for A3 Soccer! Great job by Coaches Marc Vincent and Derek Shields.

A3 United earns promotion to NCSL Division 1

A3 United (U15B) earned promotion to NCSL’s prestigious Division 1 this upcoming Spring.  United won the Division 2 championship this Fall by compiling a 6-1-2 record.  More impressively, our boys were the only team to go the entire season without any cards being issued while the other nine teams averaged 10 cards throughout the season.  Great sportsmanship, skill, and dedication allowed the boys to achieve this elusive and impressive objective.  Lastly, it should be noted the boys did it while also playing soccer for the following schools:  South River, Archbishop Spalding, Arundel, Key School, Severn, Bowie, McDonogh, Howard, and DeMatha Catholic.

Pretty in Pink!

Our A3 Ponies went down to Raleigh this past weekend to compete in one of the East Coast's premier tournaments - CASL Girls Shootout.  The Ponies won 1-0 Saturday morning versus Cape Fear Soccer Club Wave - the 5th ranked U13G team in North Carolina.  They followed it up with a 2-0 win versus Lexington Football Club - the top ranked team in Kentucky.  On Sunday, they defeated Triangle Futbol Club Sol 2-1 and secured a spot in the final.  In the championship game, the Ponies faced a tough Charlotte Soccer Academy team which ended 1-1 in regulation.  The game came down to penalty kicks where the Ponies prevailed 4-2.  Well done Ponies.
